Open Water Referrals
What!!! .......you learnt to dive somewhere else and haven't been able to complete your practical training???
If you have completed all your open water academic and enclosed water training at another location but wish to finish off your open water training with Perth Diving Academy, we can offer the necessary dives you require with our referral programs.
You must have the completed training agency referral paperwork and divers logbook from your initial training facility to take advantage of these programs. If you are in doubt about your requirements contact your instructor or email firstname.lastname@example.org
PDA will provide SCUBA equipment, but as most divers at this level have some equipment of their own, you need to provide your basic Snorkel equipment (the equipment you need can be rented at a single day rate for whatever style course you are doing ).
You will also need medically fit to dive as indicated in the relevant Australian Standards.
Referrals must be completed within 12 months of your last training session.
2-2.5 Day Referral Program $395.00
The cost of this program includes the instructor, use of SCUBA equipment, photos and certification fees. Also included is 1 Enclosed water session and 4 open water dives
After an enclosed water (pool session) to allow you to become familiar with our equipment, instructors and refresh your training skills, PDA will provide four open water dives, (two shore based and two boat based).
The dives must be done in order one to four to enable your instructor to assess your competency and complete the required training tasks for your certification.

With our on-site indoor pools, exceptional open water shore access points and superb boat we can make your diving dreams come true!.
The cost of this program includes the instructor, use of SCUBA equipment, photos and certification fees. The practical sessions start with 4-5 enclosed water (pool) training periods to allow you to become familiar with our equipment, instructors and learn the required in-water skills, PDA will also provide four open water dives, (two shore based and two boat based). The dives must be done in order one to four to enable your instructor to assess your competency and complete the required training tasks for your certification.
As part of the Perth Diving Academy commitment to certifying safe divers we provide both boat and shore based dives on all our training options.
In our local area (Perth/Rottnest) a vast majority of the better dive sites are accessed by boat. All the PDA Referral programs have two boat dives conducted after your shore dives. The shore dives are where we assess most of your practical skills to ensure you have the necessary level of competency required to remain safe to yourself and fellow divers.
During Perth Diving Academy referral programs we will provide you with all the necessary SCUBA equipment. Our SCUBA units are quality air delivery systems with essential information computer gauges and compass fitted. The Buoyancy Control Jackets are chosen to suit our local conditions and engineered for durability and high quality of construction.
The cost of rental for this SCUBA equipment during your referral is included in the up-front fee. However you will be responsible for any loss that occurs to the equipment issued to you during the training period.
You will need to provide a suitable wetsuit and the correct amount of weights for that suit. You also need a quality silicone mask, snorkel, open heel fins and wetsuit boots.
If you require the rental of the wetsuit, weight belt, mask, snorkel, fins and boots, the rate is charged at the day rate for the equipment you require.
